Cant find where to resubmit my Illinois AGI

Was told I need to correct my previous years AGI in order to refile my Illinois state return, but when I try and find how to fix it there is no prompt anywhere to enter that information anymore even after restarting the whole process

Cant find where to resubmit my Illinois AGI

your Illinois AGI transfers from the federal return. so what exactly is the issue you are having?

you can not e-file Illinois unless the Federal has been e-filed.

Well they were both filed, but the state one got rejected.

This is what it said:

Reject Code IL1040-8100-1

Description of error:
"The Primary Taxpayer Prior Year Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) did not match the Prior Year AGI on the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) production file. If your AGI was adjusted in the prior year due to an amendment or correction by you or IDOR you should report the most recent AGI. You can find your prior year AGI by logging in to your MyTax Illinois account at mytax.illinois.gov or by referring to the line by line on an adjustment letter received from IDOR. Please note that to be on the IDOR production file the prior year return must have been accepted and processed. If PC Online return, at least one of the following Primary Taxpayer signature fields must be present and match the IDOR production file: Primary IL-Pin, Primary Prior Year AGI, or Primary IL Drivers License/State ID Number. For more information, visit our website at tax.illinois.gov or call Taxpayer Assistance at [phone number removed] M-F from 8 AM to 5 PM."
What needs to be done:
To fix this error, please follow these steps carefully. - Make sure you have entered the previous year's IL AGI correctly. - Verify Your IL PIN at https://www.revenue.state.il.us/app/pini/servlet/PINInquiry . Make sure to enter all 8 digits (This is not your 5 digit federal PIN). - Verify your IL drivers license or state ID number is entered correctly. - If it is your first year filing with IL, you will have to enter your IL Drivers License or state ID information. Enter each field exactly as it is on your IL Drivers License or state ID (First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Suffix (leave blank if necessary), and weight. - You may not use an out-of-state or expired drivers license. - You may need to print and mail your return if the reject continues after re-transmitting.

When I try to go back and "fix" it, there is no option to go back over the AGI even after trying to start over.

If you go to the "File" stage then "Proceed To Sign Illinois State Return" it should ask you to input it in there, or you can select that you do not have/know it.

You should be able to select to input a il pin instead and go to this website to retrieve one.

https://mytax.illinois.gov/_/

or google IL-PIN Inquiry and it should bring you to the correct site.

You could try to enter 0 for your AGI, and refile the return. @AJROTH1990
