I am able to connect to both my investment banks to import documents, but the TurboTax page says its is connecting and then just freezes, with a note that says to check back later. When I go to the actual bank websites, the tax documents are available. I am out of the country and so cannot access hard copies. What gives?

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.

Have tried your solution a few times to no avail. Seems like there are many other members having the same issue. Please address.
If you can download a PDF copy of your 1099's, you can use a Category Summary Total in your tax return (what we did before imports became available).
When a new browser window opens for your broker Sign In, try clicking on the icon just in front of the URL and 'allow' LAN.
