Cannot import 1099 from robinhood into Turbotax

last year i was filing my 1099b from robinhood and i believe i entered my robinhood account info and turbotax was able to automatically fill it in for me.

This year i click on wages&income, it shows robinhood securities already there and there is a button for me to edit it. When i click edit, it brings me to another page showing the option to review stocks bonds etc, but theres no option for me to import my 1099 and no option for me to log into automatically upload the 1099b information. it seems like i have to input every line of sale manually and this is scaring me

has anybody had this issue too? where they cannot important automatically?

EDIT: IT WORKED, Just had to wait a few more days before imports are available. Tip: For stocks, click on robinhood as your broker, then enter in your ID and document ID, that should import that 1099 stock form.

Once that's good, then go back and add another line of income, or another type of income. It'll bring you to the page to click on your different brokers again, click the blue button of entering it a different way instead. Then you can upload the .csv file OR import the 1099 crypto file. That should take care of both crypto and stock 1099s,

I downloaded Stock/Fund information with Account and Doc Id.

I downloaded Crypto information with email and password.

Both worked great with no issues.  Each are different "robinhood" options to select on TT download.

So. Figured out something the"specialists" won't tell you.  If you use the Desktop version, you can report Crypto transactions in a SUMMARY statement.  Which only requires you to enter TOTAL proceeds and cost.  Then you fill out form 8453 and mail that along with your 1099-b, after your taxes are approved.

Then you don't need to enter each individual crypto transaction.

The "specialists" are useless.

Delete the Robinhood 1099 that is already there and then tell it that you have another 1099-R from Robinhood and it will import it no problem.

Today is the 18th and it's still having issues importing the 1099-B. After I import the CSV, it has 200+ issues that freeze the system. So, I'm stuck

Same issue here. Like 217 items to review. Mine stock 1099 uploaded fine. The 1099 for crypto will not upload even after downloading the CSV file. Pretty annoying.

It's every stock that was accumulated on various dates.  Since various is an issue, TurboTax needs to figure out how to code it as such on the import.  For $240, I shouldn't have to manually find all of these since the review feature consistently says it's encountered an error.  So frustrating!

Robinhood 1099-Div downloads using Account and Doc ID from form and worked fine.  It did not download Crypto information.  TurboTax has two Robinhood options.  The 2nd uses email and password.  Is that for Crypto tax form?

Seems to be. Will not let me log in. Keeps giving an error. I believe this is on RH. The crypto import was a day behind the stock import. So maybe RH is just having technical issues with the crypto.

At this point I would recommend you guys just clicking around and seeing what works and what doesnt work. You should at least know your total net gain/loss from both stocks and crypto so in the end, if that net amount is correct on turbotax, i think you should be good

Just trial and error with different buttons, thats how i got it

I figured it out. I chose Crypto, manually enter, it’ll give you 2 options, one for line by line the other for total. I chose total it’s just 1 line then you upload PDF.

I have tried all options to transfer my 1099 crypto and stock 1099 from Robinhood to TurboTax, but I keep getting the error sign on both, I am unable to complete my taxes because I’m stuck on this process, it’s very frustrating, I f anyone has an idea how I can go about this and have the information transferred, I will truly appreciate

So I have accts with webull. I was able to upload my 1099-composite, but when I go back to try and enter my husbands webull info (filing jointly), it just keeps auto-loading my data and taking me to webull to input my forms again.  Anyone know what to do here?  How do I get it to forget my acct. and SS# so I can put his in?

If you are using the online version, please clear the cache on your browser, and log back into Turbo Tax and try to upload with your husband's account login. @shawnaderr

MY SOLUTION: I did not file 2020 tax returns, waited too long and yesterday 7/6/2021 was trying millions of times with the "low caps, caps, 10- trick, different ID documents typos" everything you could think of and it never worked, I had to enter every single trade manually took me lots of hours. The problem was, after the extension limit time for 2020 (which is October of the same year I believe) robinhood probably shuts down the import capabilities, or there was a communication error between RH and TT there at least in my part (it would import from webull but not from RH, so do not be suspect firewall problems), contacted RH support and they could do nothing to fix it. 2021 was a cakewalk tho, I successfully imported the tax statement from RH using lowcaps and account number probably because I was still in due time. So my only advice is, don't wait too long to avoid problems, also do not copy and paste, manually input every alpha-numeric number in lower case without spaces, we spend too much money on premier just because we invest, to not be able to import for whatever reason, on any year. I will upload a video on youtube sometime to explain how to easily manually import everything, It's not as horrible as you might think
