Cannot get turbotax to use my refund to buy paper savings bonds

wrapping up my taxes in turbotax. system asks what i want to do with my refund. check, direct deposit, split to savings bonds, etc. i want to use my refund to buy paper savings bonds. choose that option and fill out the name and amount info. hit continue and  i’m back at the start with the system asking me what i want to do with my refund. try again, no joy. an endless cycle. what am i missing. please help.

You are probably going to have to contact Support for this issue.

you can, this is a dumb thing from Turbo Tax. Say you want a check refund. On the next screen, it will take the info from Form 8888 and show the amount of bonds you want to buy.
