If you are only reporting Social Security benefits on the tax return then there is no benefit or reason to file a tax return.
If you are reporting Foreign Earned income and excluding all income then you cannot e-file the return. It would have to be printed and mailed.
However, if you enter $1 of Interest Income, Form 1099-INT, then you can e-file. For the payers name on the 1099-INT enter anything. Enter $1 in box 1 of the 1099-INT.
