I stumbled upon this thread while trying to fix this too. I just got Ameriprise accounts a month ago and Mint has NEVER been able to connect to them. It keeps saying to try again later. It's been a month. It is annoying.
If import does not go smooth, I will suggest to manually enter info. For import, there is a limit on how many transactions TurboTax can handle. See blue links below. It could be due to large amount of transactions and caused issues. Here are the steps:
