Can you use the turbo tax basic, the free version to file for capital loss on investments?
Unfortunately, No, the Free Edition does not support reporting of investments. If you have capital gains/losses reported on a brokerage statement, requiring a Schedule D, you need TurboTax Premier (Online) or any version of TurboTax CD/Download.
