I need help fixing my tax
If you have verified that the AGI matches exactly what was on your tax return or transcript for last year, you can also try using 0 instead. Occasionally, the IRS record for some reason is missing, and zero works.
If that still doesn't work, you will, unfortunately, not be able to e-file as there is no way to fix the AGI mismatch error.
If you haven't yet double-checked your IRS transcript, please try this first before you give up. You can check your transcript here: Get your IRS transcript.
Continuing to submit the return without changing the information is only going to result in continuing to receive rejection notices -if nothing has changed in the information that you are sending, it is not going to go through.
