Can US citizen married to F-1 student File Jointly?

Hello,<BR /><BR />I am a US citizen and my spouse is an F-1 student currently on OPT. Can we file jointly?

The FICA situation is the responsibility of your employer. If you owe FICA and Medicare tax, it is the responsibility of your employer to pay half of the tax and to collect the other half from you. There is no way you can pay your half in yourself on your income tax return, it would have to be paid in by your employer. @Oindry
