Can't e-file due to W-2

I am ready to file my taxes, but the TurboTax program says it can't e-file my return because one of my W-2s does not have an amount in Box 1, which is true. My question is whether my situation has an acceptable and legal workaround or if I just need to print and mail to file.

I changed jobs this year and moved states, but I worked remotely for the previous employer on a part-time basis after I moved. They sent two W-2s: one with my federal wages and state 1 taxes, and a second with only state 2 taxes. Putting in Box 14 info ("Fed W-2 Data is on separate W-2") doesn't affect that.

I'm filing in two states for state taxes, but the "error" message is about the federal return.

Thanks!

Can't e-file due to W-2

Yes, you can consolidate the two W2s and just add the additional state information for Boxes 15-16-17 so you can efile.
