I am unable to remove the 5329 form from the tax return, after correcting myself. It's stuck to the completed return and when I try to "delete" I am taken to a white screen where there are no options. When I return to the "delete form" page, 5329 is still there.
Here's more detail. I had been entering information about contributions for an IRA - but these were done mistakenly. (At first, I misunderstood that a Roth 401k is not the same as ROTH IRA.) I realized that I wasn't contributing to an IRA at all. I went back and removed the answers for the IRA.
But when I tried to complete the return, it keeps telling me I have entered the wrong number on the 5329 form. How is this possible if I no longer have anything entered into this part of TurboTax? And how can I remove the form and be able to e-file? This is TurboTax "Premium"

Hello everyone, I found an answer. I used "Contact Us" to get a call from TurboTax.
The caller took me through the secret entrance to delete all the IRA related forms one at a time.
Previously I had tried to only delete the 5329, and it wouldn't take it, no matter what I did.
To clarify, do you have an entry on line 18 of Form 5329? What lines are filled out on Form 5329? Are you using TurboTax Online or Desktop?

And yet, when I print out my return, form 5329 still appears. 5329 prints out completely blank except for having:
This is when I printed after refusing to answer this question that TurboTax was requiring me to answer (see attached image:(

It seems you have entered that you had an excess contribution in previous years and TurboTax wants to absorb this excess in 2022.
Did you have an excess contribution in prior years? If not then you might want to check your 2021 tax return to verify that you didn't pay the 6% penalty on Form 5329 or check Schedule 2 line 8.
If you didn't have an excess in the prior year then follow these steps to delete the entry:
If you indeed had an excess that wasn't removed follow these steps:
