Hello everyone, I found an answer. I used "Contact Us" to get a call from TurboTax.
The caller took me through the secret entrance to delete all the IRA related forms one at a time.
- Even though I had printed the return, you can go back in by saying you need to "add a state." Therefore, I logged in, and went to the 2022 Return, but clicked to "add a state."
- I went to "Tax Tools" and then "Tools".
- I clicked on "Delete a Form".
- A screen listed all the tax forms. Starting at the top, I deleted everything that mentions "IRA".
- This allowed me to also remove the 5329.
- After hitting "Continue" the screen goes white, though it retains the menus on the left hand side. At this point you have to "Save and Exit".
- After returning back to the account, the deleted forms FINALLY are resolved.
Previously I had tried to only delete the 5329, and it wouldn't take it, no matter what I did.
