I bought Turbo Tax 2024 Premier, which came with 5 free federal e-files and 1 free state package download. My wife and I file jointly, so we would only use 1 of the e-files. Are members of my family able to use my account to file their federal taxes and create their state returns? I started installing the software, but to start, it asks for my intuit account information. It says that my license key is required after logging in. But if my family members are going to use it, they would want to use their account. Is it possible to do that?
Or since it requires me to sign in before entering a license key, do all the returns that are going to be created have to be created under my account? And then would each family member have to use my account to create there return?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You can install it on 5 computers you own. You just have to log into the same account to INSTALL the program. You should be able to efile with each person's account. And even if you use the same account to efile no one can see any other returns or history done on the Desktop program. The returns are only kept on the computer that filed it and in a separate file, even if you efile though Turbo Tax .
