How do I enter the info on my W2 into box 19 for local income tax? My W2 shows #247-62314, but Turbo tax asks for a $dollar amount, and does not accept the #number.

Box 19 on the W-2 is used to report the Local Income tax withheld from your paychecks. It should only contain a Dollar amount. Are you sure that tax form is a W-2 and not some other kind of form like a 1099 or something different?

If it is a W-2 you should contact your employer to get the correct amount and have them issue a corrected W-2.

Can it be that the info may be for Box 20 - Locality name instead of Box 19, or the Employer State ID between Box 15 and 16.
