Can I read a 1996 turbotax .tax file?
I want to get my 1996 AGI from the .tax file.

Of course, the thing you didn't mention is why you would need that.
I can't think of any reason a 1996 AGI would be needed for anything at this late date....but we can't know all situations.

Can I read a 1996 turbotax .tax file?
Why on Earth do you need an AGI from 26 years ago? If, for example, you are trying to verify your earnings record for Social Security credits, the AGI is not the right figure for that.
