Can I file more than 1 extension electronically with the free TurboTax service?

If you need to file more than one extension (for a friend, for example) you need to do it using another account login (username & password), so it doesn't change information on your return.

To do this:

1. Go to:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/irs-tax-extensions/
2. Click the File a Free Extension box. 

You will be asked to sign in with your TurboTax Online ID.  Don't use the ID associated with your return.  If you don't have one, click Create an Account at the bottom of the sign in screen.
