your return cannot be further extended. if you do not end up owing taxes there are no penalties for filing late. if you did not pay the full balance due by 4/15/2023 there will be penalties for filing and paying late.

AND...If you do not file by 16 October...TTX "Online" will shut down for a person's initial 2022 e-file (except for rejected e-files for another 5days-to-a week)
After that, TTX "Online" for 2022 then shuts down entirely for everyone by the end of October. After which you can still buy/use the desktop 2022 program (on a full Windows or MAC computer) to finish preparing, and filing...but only By MAIL...on paper.
