Can I edit my daycare's EIN number? When I click edit, it doesn't bring back up the EIN section.

At first I did not have my childcare providers EIN number, but now that I have it. Can I go in and edit in the program? I am getting a message that it will not allow me to eSign my taxes without it, I would have to send in a paper copy.

You can get back to the input screen for the Dependent Care Credit with these steps.

1. Open your tax return
2. Under Federal
3. Select Deductions and Credits
4. The menu will drop down in the center
5. Click Dependent Care Credit [Add/Edit]
6. The screen will show Child and Dependent Care Credit - Yes
7. Here's what we have so far
8. Select Done
9. The screen will show Let's get some info about your care provider

Enter the Tax ID Number of your care provider, which could be an Employer Identification Number (EIN) or a Social Security number (SSN).

If you had more than one care provider, we'll add them one at a time.
