Can I download 2018 turbo tax to external hard drive for use on two different computers, In 2017 I downloaded TT software that allowed 5 efiles but did them on 1 computer

Previous 2 years I downloaded TT software that allowed for 5 Fed efiles and 1 state efile. I did it on one computer but this year I wanted to do the taxes on two different computers I was wondering if I could download the software to an external drive that I could then plug into my daughters computer to do her taxes. I did not yet purchase the downloadable software this year

While you technically can install TurboTax onto a portable drive, the program will not work properly once that drive is removed.

If you have other questions about this, ask in the comment section below.

Why is TT making it so hard to see a reply to a community question? When you click on the link it takes you to a page that doesn't answer the question. It does allow you to scroll through endless questions by members but who has the time for that. Am I doing something wrong or is TT intentionally making it difficult?

@weezer53 You are posting to a very old thread that has had no activity for several years.  What are you trying to do?  Are you trying to comment on this specific thread that had to do with 2018?   Or are you just confused with using the forum?   How can we help?
