Can i claim insurance coverage for my adult children?
If you are asking if you can claim health insurance you paid for your adult children, yes, but only if you provided over one half of their total support in 2016
In addition, to deduct their health insurance, you will need to itemize and the total expenses for you, your spouse, and your dependents exceed 10% of your adjusted gross income (7.5% if you're 65 or older as of December 31, 2016). The deduction is limited to the expenses above and beyond this amount.
