Can I change order of names for married filing jointly?

Yes but filing the same order as previously might prevent a delay in processing.

If you have filed as Married Filing Jointly in the past it would be best to keep the order of the names as the same in prior tax years.  It confuses the IRS when the order is changed.

It is not recommended to change the order of the names on a joint return.   That can lead to confusion and delays with the IRS.   And...if you transfer 2022 in to 2023, and you just switch the names around, you have not switched the information that was attached to those names in the software, so it will be confusing.
