I used a CD to install TurboTax Premier Tax Year 2021 on Windows 10. It works fine for my Windows 10 local account. Can my son use a different Windows 10 local account to login on the same computer to use TurboTax for his taxes?

It turns out that you can indeed use the software on the same Windows 10 PC from different Windows 10 local username and password accounts. I installed and started using the software in my Windows 10 local account a few weeks ago. Today I tried launching TurboTax on the same computer while logged in to Windows as my son (rather than using my own account). The issue appears to be that I was actually blocked at a point where the TurboTax 2021 Activation screen was simply not displaying, seemingly because the software could not reach Intuit's Activation Server. I saw something similar to what another user posted for a TurboTax Deluxe 2019 issue, but mine indicate TurboTax 2021. I have borrowed that image and used here since I had not taken a picture of it while the issue was happening on my computer.
Intuit Activation Server not reached - Example from User of TurboTax Deluxe 2019
For some reason, my computer was unable to contact the Intuit activation server. I read about several solutions, none of which worked in my case. I did not try changing the screen resolution, but did try to launch TurboTax Premier 2021 with my anti-virus software and my firewall turned off, which did not work. I re-enabled the firewall and anti-virus. Then I rebooted and tried logging into my son's Windows 10 account and launching TurboTax again; the problem was resolved, meaning instead of being blocked, I was prompted by the activation window shown below.
TurboTax 2020 - Activation
Notice that the activation window indicates “5 computers”. Only 1 computer is involved in this case, but a separate Windows 10 local user account also needs to activate.
