California data not available in TurboTax?

It’s now 2/11 and each day I go in to TurboTax Deluxe 2019 on my PC and click California download it tries then tells me my software is up to date.  It’s a loop...   any idea why I can’t download California?

Assuming that you are using  the desktop version of TurboTax,   finish your federal return and this should take you to the State return prep. There  based on your address  you should see if the state is already downloaded and if not , once you select that you want to California, the  system should automatically  download the required State ( it might ask you to pay -- depending on the  version of the   installed  Federal product ).  You should not have to do anything special.

I have been using TT on my pc since 2006 so I have all the years files and it always goes the same.  This year I finished fed and it says got then move on to state.  It tells me it will attempt to download it and it connects with the white box and then comes back and says OK. Your software is up to date.   There’s no state.  I found a thread online that people get that when the state isn’t ready yet.  I wonder if that’s the case.  My friend which uses H&R Block software has had his ca available for over 2 weeks he said.  Or maybe something messed up with my install

@AMG1978  something else is going on here  -- because I have CA available on my machine and have used it to prepare correct returns already.

Perhaps ( just a way out thought ) and assuming that you have the CD of the 2019 TurboTax --- just  uninstall the whole thing, re-install, update  and see if that works  -- note  you have to make sure your federal return that you have already prepared is saved and you know where it is.
