I've posted another question about this, but I believe there is a bug in TT Business. I'm doing an estate return for my deceased father. The "Step-by-Step" interview asks me to list the beneficiaries, and then it asks for their personal information, SSNs, addresses, etc. but it does NOT ask what percentage of the estate each beneficiary is supposed to get. I have to go to the K1 form and fill this out directly. THIS IS STUPID. If I wanted to fill out my forms, I would get free forms from the IRS. If TT wants me to manually fill out forms IN ADDITION TO the interview, it should give me a dialog box saying what line on what form. Every other software, like TaxAct online, asks you for the percentage.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
I will pass your concern along to the moderators who, in turn, will pass it along to the developers.
Again, changes to the software have been requested in the past along these, and related, lines but none have been forthcoming.

This isn't really a feature request. It's a bug. The interview mode CANNOT correctly fill out the K-1 form without asking this. So the software MUST either ask for the percentage each beneficiary is due, or direct the filer to open the form and populat the field manually. I've used TT in the past for estates and I'm pretty sure it asked me for all the info, and I didn't have to populate anything myself.
