Form 8606 for 2017 is available on IRS.gov but TurboTax is telling me its not?

The desktop versions received a update about half an hour ago that finalized the 8606 so it can be  e-filed now.  The update will be applied to the online versions tonight when the traffic dies down.

Popped over into HR Blocks website and boom... it’s done! After spending almost a hundred grand to rebuild after hurricane Harvey, I’m now going to get a refund this year. You bet your asses I was in rush to get this done ASAP! TurboTax, you and your stay at home ladies answering the phones unprofessionally can kiss my ass. The last lady I spoke to an hour ago was half asleep and pissed that I called for an update on form 8606. Like wtf!

I tried to file weeks ago.  You said it would be available 2/9.  Then on 2/9 you said it would be available 2/15.  Now it doesn't say anything and the comments above say 2/22.  This is RIDICULOUS!  Should I just abandon TurboTax and paper file?

TurboTax just released a Mac and Windows desktop update at about 1PM PST today (2/15) that has the final e-file-able 8606 form.  The online versions will probably be updated during a low traffic period - probably tonight about 8:30 PM PST I have been told.

[However, the "Relief for hurricane distributions"  from retirement plans is not included in this update. I believe that requires related form 8915 that has a 2/23/18 target date.]

@ericamo35 - No - I do not file my own tax until April (there are always changes in the 1099-B forms in late March due to some foreign investments I have.)

It looks like all the bitching has helped!!  I just update TurboTax with the latest updates to Form 8606 and can now e-file.  I'm done with TurboTax for all future years.  The baby crying in the background on the support phone call turned me off--along with all the unfulfilled promises.

bryanmaxwell....I just e-filed successfully with the updated 8606 forms....it finally works

@bryanmaxwell - What problem are you having?
Are you using the CD/download software? - if so you need to update.

yes i used the CD and the update that was downloaded today fixed the 8606 issue.  No problems anymore
