Box 3 on w2 and education

Box 3 on my W-2 is blank due to working in education and not being covered by Social Security. Can I enter a 0 in its space so that I can file electronically? This has never been an issue before

Typically, the best practice is to leave it blank. If you are getting an error, I recommend

• deleting the W-2
• Sign out of TurboTax
• Clear cache & cookies, which in general is done by holding down Ctrl+Shift+Del. Under the Basic tab, clear data for at least 24 hours, but preferably 7 days
• Close your browser window
• Re-open TurboTax, preferably in Chrome
• Re-enter the W-2 EXACTLY as received
