Done with taxes, but I keep getting this error message during the review:
"box 20 code z has been selected but no section 199a income has been entered on statement a"
I did put an amount in box 20, but still getting the error message. I also tried leaving the amount blank and adding it on the next screen where it asks you to itemize amounts.
Also tried to go to statement A and add the amount manually, but it is not fillable.
Any suggestions?

Your partnership K-1 is reporting Section 199-A income on line 20 code Z and the software wants you to enter the information that will compute the qualified business income deduction.
To enter partnership income from a K-1, follow these directions.
@Anonymous
I found these directions on another thread and have tried and retried multiple times. It is still giving me the same error. Frustrating.
You stated: "Also tried to go to statement A and add the amount manually, but it is not fillable."
At the screen We need some information about your 199A income, is this what you are seeing? Or something else?

Are you able to click the boxes to open up the income categories? Please clarify.
@Anonymous
Your image is too small to see, but there was a screen that asked for more information about the 199A.
I clicked on the boxes and added information, but didn't work.
Do you have ordinary, rental, royalty, or other income from this K-1? You must enter one of those four on the page asking about Section 199A (JamesG1's screenshot) in order for your other entries to be processed. Even if you already entered the info from the K-1, you need to re-enter the income in this section.
Yes, and yes I did this.
Decided just to delete the box Z code and cross my fingers that I don't get audited.
Thanks for trying to help.
Your other option is to delete that Schedule K-1 from your K-1 list and enter it again. It's best to exit/log out of TurboTax after you delete the form. Then open your return and enter the information again. Even though Section 199A is optional, you may be missing out on a deduction by not entering the info.
Yes,
Tried that too. Shut down the computer and started over. Glad to know it's optional. In the forms it did show that I was getting a deduction with the 199A information in, but the error message wouldn't let me submit. The headache wasn't worth it. I think it is a bug in the software - not the first time I've had a problem with this... Thanks
