This happens when IRS records show that you, your spouse, or a dependent had health insurance through the ACA Marketplace (Healthcare.gov or a state exchange) and possibly received a premium subsidy (Advance Premium Tax Credit).
If you have an error 8962 in TurboTax that relates to Box 12c on Form 1095-A, it usually indicates there is a mismatch between your entered data regarding your Form 1095-A and IRS records.
This often occurs when there is inaccurate or zero-valued monthly premium amounts entered. To fix it, delete the Form 1095-A and re-enter the data manually and try to e-file again.
Make sure all 12 months have correct and non-zero amounts.
If you believe your Form 1095-A is incorrect, you should contact the state or federal Marketplace from which you received coverage. The Marketplace may need to send you a corrected Form 1095-A.
Do not enter "0" in blank boxes on your 1095-A form. Leaving them blank is usually required to avoid errors. Also, make sure there are no extra spaces or characters in the fields.
