Does a person who is? qualified as disabled by the government inherits an IRA from her mother. And it became my. beneficial IRA and I paid RMD on it for 7 years.

I just learned that the seven years of paying the RMD amount can be. recovered since I. was qualified as a disabled person. I should not have to pay any RMD. Is this correct??
