Shouldn't Schedule E, line 22 show a loss if Total expense is greater than rents received?

This passive rental  income. I have a loss care over from last year with a combined loss on schedule E Line 22  of $3000 but 0 on line 23,35, and 26. I did last year on TurboTax as well.

Are you saying that Line 22 shows $3000, but Lines 25 and 26 show $0?

Next to Line 26, does it show some letters (such as "NPA")?

When entering the rental information, did you indicate that you used the property for any personal days?

Turbo Tax phone support answered my question. My rental losses are passive

and are tracked year to year on form 8582 where in the future they can be used

to offset capital gains. Schedule E line 25 and 26 are only for active losses.

Thank you support
