Are Workmans Comp Insurance payments wages? And if not, what happens to our deductions and credits?

My husband was injured in November 2021at work. He is about to have his 4th surgery in May, and it will be months before he'll be able to work again.  We've had no income other than Workmans Comp Insurance payments.  Do I include these payments as Wages?  If not, then what happens to all of our deductions and credits that we normally claim?  Can we still claim them?  Or will we not get a refund of any kind?

Thanks for your help,

Sharon

Workman's Compensation is not reported on a tax return.  It is not taxable income.

Does that mean we won't be able to claim deductions or credits, so no refund?
