Apex Clearing - 1099-B import - Acquisition date and Sales section title not processed correctly

I had TurboTax online premier to import both 1099-DIV and 1099-B from Apex Clearing, in one shot. The import worked successfully (at least I did not see any errors reported from TurboTax).

The forms are associated with my AxosInvest account. Since this is a rob investor, lots of entries are inside 1099-B. For each entry I noticed there are 1 or 2 issues, when comparing to the PDF file I could download directly from Apex:

  1. acquisition date(s): Various dates is not set properly
  2. Sales section title: it always reported Box E, but based on PDF, all should be either Box A (short term basis covered), or Box D (long term basis covered)

(The acquisition date issues are captured by TurboTax own final review phase.)

Now I am facing a painful job to fix all those entries manually, one by one. Given the less-than-ideal UX design of the online product, there are lots of clicks and scrolls to fix each entry.

Can you guys fix it with high priority? Or can you suggest any alternative? Will import PDF work better (which I doubt)?

Thanks!

Apex Clearing - 1099-B import - Acquisition date and Sales section title not processed correctly

If your 1099-B did not import properly, you can Enter a Summary in Lieu of Individual Transactions.

Form 8949 will have summary totals, and if you enter summary totals for any categories other than A or D, you will need to mail your return.

If not, you will be able to efile and just mail Form 8453 with your brokerage statement.

Apex Clearing - 1099-B import - Acquisition date and Sales section title not processed correctly

This is the exact problem i face too.

Turbotax should deduct the acquisition date as "various" and should ease the burden for users.

I have to click like 600+ extra times because of this bug.

This is the second straight year i am facing the same issue.

contact me @ [email address removed] on how to reproduce the issue.

Import 1099 forms from either M1 finance or webull, you should be able to replicate this issue easily.

I hope Turbotax will fix this issue at least by next year, or else you will lose me.

Apex Clearing - 1099-B import - Acquisition date and Sales section title not processed correctly

I have the same exact issue with 1099-B from Apex Clearing for my M1 Finance account.  Over 266 manual adjustments I have to make..with the online interface it takes over 50sec to process each individual change..this will be over 4 hours to do!

turbotax there must be a work around?  I suppose mailing a printed copy of 1099-B would make most sense at this point

Issue still persists. All entries imported are incorrect and had to manually change hundreds. Please fix this!
