Just enter summary totals using PDF and be done with it. Dont forget to enter futures/straddle entries. I completed miine today.
I'm not able to enter any of my Apex 1099 Composites. I get errors for every broker.

Yesterday I talked to customer support on the Apex Integration with Turbo Tax that I am not able to login and always seeing 103 error code, spent 42 minutes, screen shared too but no outcome other than waiting or manually entering the plethora of trade data for each row, could you please help confirm instead of redirecting to customer support to help resolve this issue at the earliest?
It is so sad to see Turbo Tax is asking us to swing to customer support, where they are of no help, APEX broker saying we can't do anything, check with Turbo Tax, and then we would have to pay Turbo Tax a fortune of money to file our taxes by manually entering all this data, where is the automation, ease, and hassle free which Turbo Tax claims always. If we would have to do all this manually then why even pay Turbo Tax, or Turbo Tax should not charge me any money for filing if I have to enter all the data manually by myself.
@2000173494569 could you please help guide me if I do only summary totals would that suffice or I have to still mail in the 1099composite to IRS for the details of the trade done by broker?
Secondly, I do not see anything on Futures/ Straddles in my 1099 composite, please guide me where to look for them in 1099? I think I found it, it is Box 8 - 11 under "REGULATED FUTURES CONTRACTS & SECTION 1256 OPTIONS" am I correct? If yes, I see all the box 8 - 11 as 0, so no need to enter this data?
Thanks.
Good news: No more 103 error, I am able to integrate and it imported 1099 DIV, 1099B successfully. I am using APEX Clearing Corp as broker, no fix was done, it just started working just an hour back. I used the Broker Account ID and username and Social as password and it worked. Thanks to all who jumped right in and shared their thoughts and experience with me.
So happy to hear everything went well! please let us know if you need further assistance. @rajeevgupta-leo
Yep, no more errors. They seem to have resolved the issue.
I have fully figured out this issue and anybody else reading this forum should be delighted.
Please understand that your Apex Clearing ID or (Apex ID) can be found after you've set up your Apex account.
It's a ten-digit number broken by a dash after the first two numerical digits and should look like this; (00-00000000)
1) log in to your Apex Clearing Account
2) Click the (Apex Online Menu) tab
3) Under "Tools" find and click (View Accounts)
Here will display all of your accounts linked with Apex. Copy and paste this into Turbo Tax and enter your SSN and you should be good.
I'm sure there might be an easier way to find this but this helped me.
Apex sent me a corrected version of my 1099 Composite but for some reason TT still imports the original erroneous 1099 Composite no matter how many times I try running the import again!
If you are using TurboTax Online, you may want to try a different browser or try clearing out your browser's cache and cookies. Please see How do I delete cookies? and How to clear your cache for more information.

I am using TT desktop so these recommendations don't apply to my situation. Why is TT unable to import my current 1099 from Apex Clearing? The 1099 on Apex website is correct but TT still imports an erroneous version. What gives?
As you cannot clear the cache within TurboTax CD/Download, can you check for and make sure it is updated and then try it again? If it still imports an erroneous version, please respond back here and let us know.
TT is current, in fact I uninstalled it and re-installed it. I suspect that when I originally imported my 1099, TT stored it somewhere and is using that file instead of actually importing the corrected version of 1099. Why TT is not sophisticated enough to do another import I do not know, software bug I assume. I have used Turbotax for more years than I can count and this is the first problem I have experienced, last year the import went flawlessly. I have spent so much time trying to resolve this that I am totally frustrated. I guess I will have to enter all my transactions manually. I purchased TT to avoid this. Next year I am trying another tax software system, maybe H & R Block.
This worked for me. thanks!
