Anyone else not being able to update the downloaded version, or download the state, or e-file? Getting error message that says not connected to internet. Tried 2 CPUs.

I was getting all kinds of errors the last two days. TurboTax would not update or even startup. After a manual update and calls to Intuit I had to uninstall TurboTax and reinstall it. My data file was retained so I didn't have to start over but what a pain. The program worked just fine in April, hadn't been used or updated and failed to start yesterday. Why the software became corrupted when not in use I couldn't tell you. You may have to do the same.

Try it again now!  I got the same error message (unable to connect to the internet Error 42016) multiple times over the last few days.  I just simply tried running TurboTax again and it gave me the option to update, I updated successfully, and I was able to file the state (WI) and federal taxes a few minutes ago (18:28 CT, Sun 15 Oct 23) without any issues.

The problem was at TurboTax.  Likely no need to uninstall and install software.  Just close program and try running it again.  It worked for me about 5 minutes ago!
