I need to amend my NY return due because Turbo Tax keeps asking me to enter an amount on line 14 and when I entered the amount that I paid in NY State taxes, it keeps telling me that the amount can't be the same as the amount I paid.
Turbo Tax keeps asking for an amount and I don't know what to enter there.
Do I need to amend all my returns or just the NY State return?

Yes, you will have to amend your state tax return to fix this error. You should wait until your original state tax return has been fully processed (and you have received any initial refund) before filing your amended return.
You will have to delete the incorrect entry and re-enter your Form 1099-R data. Make sure box 14, 15, and 16 are filled out correctly without duplicating your state withholding.

Can you clarify your question? Thanks. @CzarSosa
There is an issue with TurboTax and on the final review, it asks you to enter the amount on your 1099R line 14a. I don't have a line 14a so I tried to by pass it and enter the amount of state tax I paid ($480). I did not notice until I filed that the tax due went up another $480. So now I need to amend that tax return or pay taxes twice.
Thanks for you inquiry.
