Amended taxes

Hi,

I amended my taxes in April and they were just adjusted and completed on August 20. But in July I received a refund for a different amount. I’m wondering if I’m still waiting for additional money or if that was it?

Hi Kirsten - 

There was a 3rd Stimulus check sent out, $1400 each that qualified for the full credit.https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/third-economic-impact-payment

You can also setup an IRS account here:

You can go to your 2020 Account Transcript to see if the IRS has processed the amended return.

In your 2020 Account Transcript, look at the Transactions where the IRS will report all payments with a brief explanation of what each is.  with the untaxed unemployment on it.   Refund payments will show up here before they will show up in your bank account.

There have been delays with some of these payments.  But if it shows here that the IRS has sent out the refund and you haven't received it, there are directions to get it resent here:
