Amended return for 2020 Federal & New York State

It said to mail in my amended Federal 2020 which I just did.  For NY State it won't let me efile the amended return because the signature date I put in of 05/07/2023 is not between 01/01/2021 through 12/31/2021.

It also says not to mail in the state return in the turbotax program.   What do I do?

It is not possible to e-file a past year return using TurboTax.  Your amended return has to be sent in by mail.

What are the penalties in case of late tax payment?  I missed it in the Minesweeper

Penalties for a late payment will be based on how much you owed, and on when they received your payment.   You will be billed for the late fees.
