Amended return during 2025 filing not showing anything

I amended my 2024 return while doing my 2025 return as I noticed an error from last year. The new return got generated for 2024 as doc and the refund got adjusted but it just brings me to a page showing both state and federal filed. When I click continue it shows the original return again filed back in 2024 on the main past tax docs screen. The efile status all shows last year still.

Should I expect a new pending filing status for 2024, not really showing any feedback or if it was amended or not.

Yes, if the IRS hasn't yet accepted the amended return, it should show pending.

Amended returns for previous years that are E-Filed will show as "pending" while they are being transmitted to the IRS.
