Amended return 2024 tax year 2023

So on the amended return for year 2023, filed 2024 ... I processed the return via Turbotax with the software I used to file it ... went to transmit after entering bank account info and everything and it said it didn't work?  Don't know if it took the state return or not ... nothing was sent back to me via Turbotax at this point but it's only been a day.  So, I'm in limbo not knowing what happened.  Usually, I'd get all kinds of texts/emails that it worked.

I hear you can buy Turbotax for this 2024 season and integrate the 2023 years return into it and send it electronically?  How does that work?  Will it work? I've already bought 2025 season turbotax to file 2024s return ... can I just use that for my 2023 amended return?  Has anyone actually done it that way?  What are the results?  Then to file the 2024 year return I just buy another user code and proceed as normal?  Just curious how well this works or am I going to have to snail mail my amended return and be in limbo for 12-16 weeks wondering if it is accepted or not.

Amended return 2024 tax year 2023

A 2023 amended tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.

Using the 2023 TurboTax desktop editions, in the File section of the program, select File by Mail instead of e-file.

An e-filed return or a mailed return will still take the IRS 16 weeks or longer to process the amended tax return.
