How do I take a W-2 off of the tax return that was put on there by mistake

Step 1 ... wait for the original return to be fully processed and you have the refund in hand.

Step 2 ... start the amendment process 

Step 3 ... return to the W-2 entry section and delete the unwanted form

Step 4 ... complete the rest of the interview to either efile (2021 returns only) or mail in the amended return.

While amending your return, to delete a form W-2 which was entered by mistake, revisit the W-2 section of TurboTax. 

On the summary page, you'll see a list of forms W-2 entered. To delete a form W-2, click on the trash can icon on the right of that entry.
