Hello. So I graduated college in Spring of 2020, and I have actually not lived at home since I began my senior year. I usually go home for the summer's but this time I am officially moved out and claiming independent on my filing, my parent already said that they aren't claiming me this year. Now that the new tax season is here, it didn't really occur to me to change my address, I've always just kept it to my parent's place. Would I need to change the address on turbotax to indicate that I don't live there anymore or does it not matter? I stay with my boyfriend in another state.

I would recommend changing your address to ensure the taxing authorities have the correct information on file for you.
This would be important as we have seen in recent months for items such as stimulus payments. The IRS needs to have the most current information to ensure they can contact you if needed.
It is also important if they attempt to issue a refund through direct deposit. If for any reason these deposits do not go through, the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address on your most recent tax return.
