Accessing prior year return

Using desktop version in 2022 and 2021.

I see a file with an extension of .tax2021. Is that last year's return?

If so, how do I open it? I no longer see the 2021 version of the program on my computer. Did loading the 2022 version wipe it out? Do I need to reinstall the 2021 version?

Opening up the 2022 tax return should not have wiped out the 2021 tax return that you have saved.
