About VPS Tax Service fee

I didn't pay attention select using my credit card to pay the due. I was charged $50.97 of the convenience fee. However my e-file was rejected for a wrong input. I found on my credit card account my owe fee $2047 is already in pending status.

So I fixed the input, I am not sure the next step. If I continue to use credit card, should I be charged $50.97 again? It appears so as I saw it at that step.

Also I worry about $2047 will be charged again......

About VPS Tax Service fee

Before you re-transmit your tax return, change your payment method to “I will mail a check”.  That leaves the payment arrangements in your hand. If the credit card charge goes through and is confirmed, then you are done and you won’t be charged twice. If the credit card processor does not confirm the charge, then the pending charge will vanish from your account and you will need to make a separate payment arrangement with the IRS. You can use a direct bank debit or a credit card at www.irs.gov/payments.
