I e-filed CA tax 3 wks ago. But now CA status shows they don't have my filing data. I was charged $24.99 at that time and thinking it was all done. What should I do now?

I used e-file to file my CA tax about 3 weeks ago. My credit card was charged $24.99 at that time so I thought everything was done. I just needed to wait for the return. Just now I checked my CA status and it is said they don't have my 2018 filing record. 

What should I do now? Will I get penalty?

Paying to efile the return does not efile it ... did you complete the FILE tab all the way to the end  and submit it ?   Look now ... complete the FILE tab all the way to the end and click on the big orange button.

Thanks for the feedback. That is right. The file was not sent out. I did it again last night and just received the message saying the return is accepted.
I wish I won’t get any penalty notice letter from FTB.

If you are getting a refund there is no penalty for filing late.
