A Real Glitch in the Program

Regarding Turbo Tax's insistence that CA state filers must wait for the release of Form 3804-CR, whether we need this obscure form or not, is a horrible glitch in TT.  I have used TT for many years, and have never encountered anything like this. TT is supposedly designed for simple, easy tax filing. Instead I had to do a search to find out what the heck that form is and why is TT insisting that I have it. I will no longer recommend the TT program.

What is Form 3804 CR?

TAXABLE YEAR. CALIFORNIA FORM. Pass-Through Entity Elective Tax Credit. 2021. 3804-CR. If this does not apply you will have to delete the state tax form. 

To delete in desktop click here.

To delete in TurboTax Online open your return and click pick up where I left off and continue. the return should now open and have a left hand menu with Tax Tools>Tools>Delete a form>Delete a state form CR-3804, confirm. And review your state return again for errors.
