a family friend filed my taxes last year on turbo tax and i got an email saying it was accepted, now im doing my taxes and it says it was never filed. what do i do

You would have to be using the exact same account and same user ID that were used last year to see the 2023 return your friend prepared. If you are in a new account you will not see it; TT accounts do not "know" about your other accounts.
