2025 - Social Security input NOT WORKING

trying to input my Social Security benefits, the program will not accept any input

And if you are using the "Desktop" software?

 

Several other have had the same problem...for some reason.

They fixed it by switching to Forms Mode,

........then finding and deleting the SS Benefits Worksheet.

Then returning to the interview, they could now enter their SSA-1099 form in the proper SS interview area.

Make sure you are entering your SSA-1099 in the correct place.  Where do I enter an SSA-1099, SSA-1099-SM, or SSA-1099-R-OP1?    If you started entering your form in the wrong place, you can delete that entry.

Thank you SteamTrain...your fix worked perfectly!

Very much appreciated as it seems quite difficult to get phone support...you are a lifesaver!

 

FYI:

I am using a MacBook Air laptop w TurboTax (TT) Premier

I did have an earlier crash when opening TT...unclear why...may somehow have corrupted the SS Benefits Worksheet??
