2024 TurboTax on Mac view form

When selecting the option to view tax form (with the maximize arrow), the minimize arrow is covered by other windows in the software.  I am unable to close the tax form without closing app and re-opening it.

see below for screen shot of window covering minimize arrow.

2024 TurboTax on Mac view form

Mac users sometimes encounter issues with the way some screens in TurboTax display on their Mac device. Fixes have typically involved adjusting the resolution of your display, or connecting a different monitor to your Mac.

If you are having difficulty a screen where the button you need is below the visible area:

Sometimes part of the screen isn't showing when you go from TurboTax for Mac to a payment screen. If possible, try adjusting the size of your screen or attach a different monitor if you encounter that issue.

You might try logging out and back in, and using a different browser to go online for the payment. Chrome generally works best.

Other Mac users have tried opening System Preferences to rotate the screen. Hold down the Command and Option keys and click Display to get the option to rotate the screen.

Others have been able to get to the offscreen content by hitting the Tab button until it appears. See this thread, or this one.

Another expert recommended the following to increase font/text size:

How to Increase the Text Size on Your Mac

  1. Click the Apple icon in the top left corner.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Select Displays.
  4. Click Scaled.
  5. Select a lower resolution. If you see icons with different sized previews of text, select the icon that says Larger Text and click OK.

Another description of this fix, adjusting the resolution on your screen, appears on this Apple Support page:

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Select the display you want to adjust, then select the resolution you want to use. You may be able to turn on “Show all resolutions” to see additional resolutions for the display.

Depending on how you adjust the resolution, some app windows may not fit entirely on the screen. Using a scaled resolution may affect performance.

In the alternative, you could hook up a separate monitor to your Mac.
