You have to ask Apple about upgrading your Mac. You can find the Apple forum. The current Turbo Tax program is for 2024 tax returns.
Turbo Tax System Requirements
Click on the apple logo and then "about this Mac". You will then find "software update." which should be free for a 2017 Mac. My Mac is 2015 and upgrades are not free for me = buy a new computer
I have the same issue - MacBook Pro 2016 that will not upgrade to Ventura 13. So annoying as I don't want to do my turbo-tax online, but wasn't prepared for a new computer either.
Yep, clear case of planned obsolescence by Apple. Disappointing and I ended up biting the bullet and purchased a new Mac; Merry Xmas to me. On the other hand I'm not a technical guy but I'm not sure why Turbotax can't have a version that can still run on the older Mac operating systems. Of course they didn't ask my opinion. On the plus side I purchased the 2024 Turbotax Deluxe package and it downloaded without any problems at all on to my new Mac and transferred last years information without causing me any consternation. Small victories. Good luck.
I just installed Sequoia 15.2 on my 2018 MacBook Pro. I believe 2018 may be the oldest. Can anyone else verify?
2018 is the oldest for Sequioa (OS 15), but Ventura (OS 13) supported by TTX is compatible as far back as 2017 iMac/Macbook models. You can check version support for your specific machine here https://support.apple.com/en-us/109033 under "Find out whether you can upgrade macOS"
