Yes, you can download your *.tax2023 data file from your Online account, and then you can transfer it into a new 2024 return in your 2024 desktop software. NOTE: It's important to transfer from the 2023 tax data file--not the PDF file.
First, log into the same online account you used for 2023, and look at the left menu column. Do not use the Documents tab. Look for a TAX HOME tab. If there is no TAX HOME tab in the left menu column, you may have to first "pretend" that you are going to prepare a 2024 online return in order to get the full left-column menu that will take you to the 2023 tax data file. If you haven't done so already, start answering the screens, and it may even have you choose a product (but you don't have to use it or pay for it). Once you have gone through several screens and entered some info, the left menu column will change and will now have a TAX HOME tab. Click on TAX HOME and at the Tax Home page scroll way down near the bottom to "Your Tax Returns & Documents." Click on that and choose 2023 to get the *.tax2023 data file. If you are using the Windows version of TurboTax, download the data file to your Documents/TurboTax folder. I can't speak for the Mac version, but likely a similar documents directory.
Then once the 2023 data file is on your computer, launch TurboTax and start a NEW tax return. The computer will churn a bit as it searches for data files. It first looks in that Documents/TurboTax folder, which is the easiest place for it to find it. If it doesn't find it, there is a "Browse" button that opens up a directory tree where you can point TurboTax to the location where you placed the file.

That is not the left-column menu that online USA return accounts have. Are you preparing a Canadian return or a USA tax return? Since that menu has "cra" and "filing hub" in it, it makes me think you are looking at an online Canadian TurboTax account. Which country's return are you needing to prepare? Did you log into the Canadian website by mistake instead of USA TurboTax?
